This system was installed for a city wastewater treatment facility by a separate general contractor via standard bid and spec process. HEI was contacted to complete the installation and commission the facility under T & M contract. All OEM systems were required to have AB SLC505 PLCs installed
and be capable of Ethernet communications. It was required to
coordinate and debug all facets of the system including HMI’s,
PLC’s, and PC based systems for site built process components
and HMI all OEM systems.
The HMI system included two RSView32 servers. One sever supports the RAD server and 5 client nodes in the administration building, while the other handles redundant alarming and data logging as well as the after hours dial out functions. In addition, 3 runtime HMI nodes were placed throughout the facility for operator interface with touchscreens, adding an additional layer of redundancy. HEI provided the start-up engineering and support programming
to the general contractor insuring successful completion of this
Sequencing Batch Reactor wastewater facility. Subsystems that
were coordinated include influent pump stations, SBR basins, flocculation
basins, filtration equipment, ultra violet disinfection systems,
non potable water pumping, irrigation pumping, belt filter press,
and re-aeration basins controls. |
